Cambodian Stampede Tragedy

On November 22nd, 2010, nearly five hundred people were killed and many more injured in a stampede in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Revelers gathered on Diamond Island in the middle of the river, but when panic caused by an unknown source ensued, all tried to escape the island over the bridge, and many were trampled and suffocated to death.
